In the age of digital and big data, health data is taking on a new dimension. The arrival of digital technology in the health sector raises new questions, particularly in terms of ethics.
Thanks to the analysis of the data collected, preventive medicine may become a predictive medicine. But what to do with these predictions if it is not possible to treat the patient?
This broad theme was discussed with participants, who were particularly active and interested in protecting this data that reveals our most intimate information. Many questions were discussed between the participants, Valérie Peugeot, sociologist at the SENSE laboratory in Orange, Vincent Tempelaere, CEO of EVEON and Julien Thevenon, geneticist at the Grenoble University Hospital. These debates led to the highlighting of some twenty observations, on which the guests were able to reflect on several proposals to enable an informed use of our health data.
